Enduroman 100 Ultra Marathon - Avon Tyrrell
Part of the Enduroman European Ultra Championships

9th June - 10th June 2012

Situated in a 65 acre private estate on the western side of the stunning New Forest, Hampshire, Avon Tryrrell Outdoor Centre provides the idyllic venue for the Enduroman 100 UltraMarathon.

The event has been designed so that the finish will take place on the same day as the Enduroman Deca, Quintuple, Triple, Double and Single-Iron ultra triathlons (1st to 10th June 2012 - more details). This will create a unique atmosphere never to be forgotten. The race will also be part of the Enduroman European Ultra Champs.

This is a 14-race series throughout 2012 that will decide the second ever Enduroman European Champions.

Enduroman 100 Ultra:
This event is a 100 mile ultra marathon around the same run course as the Ultra Triathlon races.  Athletes will run 97 laps of an exact 1.04 mile course around the Avon Tyrrell estate.  Athletes will have the unique opportunity to run a closed circuit 100 miler, be able to camp beside the course and be able to see their support crew on a regular basis.  This can either be 'something different' on the ultra marathon calendar, or  a stepping stone into the Ultra Triathlon series.

SAFETY

Bring strong bright lights for the dark night. The light is for you to see the trails as well as being seen and it will give you confidence. Be safe and bright.  You will need a head torch or similar.  You will also need to bring adequate supplies of spare batteries.


Have wet gear as it could rain, wear sun cream during the day and be prepared for the night.  Most athletes that drop out from the race do so between 2am and 5am so factor this into your training.  You need to eat healthy substantial meals throughout the competition.  Sports nutrition products WILL NOT be enough.  Those that have completed an Ultra race will know that the body starts to reject sugars after about 5-6 hours.  This is the time when your body will try and convert fat to fuel.  Keep hydrated with a weak sports drink throughout but remember that your body will crave salt and fat.  This is because your body is depleted in these areas.  Train and fuel SMART!!!!

ENTRY FEE: 
Enduroman 100: £50.00 GBP (Before 1st October 2011)  £70.00 thereafter.

All prices do NOT include Active Europe commission.

FOOD & ACCOMMODATION DURING COMPETITION:

There will be on-site caterers providing 3 meals per day within a the main house next to the race course from June 1st -10th.  Deca and Quintuple athletes will receive these meals / accommodation free as part of their race fees.  Other athletes (Including the Enduroman 100 Ultra), support crews and spectators may purchase meals.  Accommodation is available in the main house. There are also opportunities to camp next to the race course, book lodges or use local hotels. (not included in race entry)

LAUNDRY FACILITIES:
Enduroman have secured access to laundry facilities on-site for the duration of the event.  This comprises of 2 washing and 1 drying machine which are both coin operated. 

The laundry opening times are:  9:00am to 10:00pm and MUST NOT be used outside these hours.

Reception opening times:  08:30am - 5:00pm

AWARDS CEREMONY

The awards ceremony will take place at 12:00 on Monday 11th June 2012 Anybody is welcome to attend the ceremony.
