Enduroman Arch to Arc Logistics

Run: Distance 87 miles Marble Arch to Dover

Approved route only

Resources: 2 x support crew plus Enduroman representative

Equipment: 1 x Support vehicle (no motor-homes, caravans or other large vehicles)  Accommodation in Dover for up to 3 nights depending on weather.  Fuel, Food and drink for team and Enduroman Rep.

The support vehicle is to carry the bike and the front passenger seat is reserved for the Enduroman Rep throughout the challenge.

Swim: Shakespeare Beach to French Coast - Minimum 22 miles

Resources 2 x Support crew (Feeders). 1 x Official Observer Boat Crew (for non wetsuit swims provided by the federation), 1 x support crew to take vehicle and bike across by ferry / tunnel to meet swimmer on the French side, Enduroman Rep.

Equipment etc: Enduroman registered boat with all necessary safety equipment. Ferry tickets for support vehicle.  

Cycle: Calais to Arc de Triomphe Paris…….. distance 180 miles

Resources: 2 x support crew (As in run), Enduroman Rep.

Equipment: Same support vehicle used during run stage.  Fuel, Food and drink for team and Enduroman Rep.

It is the responsibility of the athlete to ensure that the Enduroman Rep is returned to Dover or London (decided by Enduroman) asap.  If the support vehicle is not returning immediately, the athlete must fund the expenses of the train / ferry back to Dover / London.

At no point during the run, swim or cycle will support crew members, friends or family etc be allowed to accompany the athlete

Costs to Consider

Enduroman Race Entry:  £1800
Boat Pilot Fees: Approx £2200 (plus CS&PF membership for all athletes)
Accommodation in Dover for up to 3 nights
Hire of support vehicle (if applicable)
Fuel throughout the event
2-way ferry crossing for support vehicle
Food and accommodation for Enduroman Rep throughout the event
Enduroman travel expenses should you wish to remain in Paris

Timings:

Start during period of neap tides in summer when high pressure dominates. Commence run at approximately 11 pm arriving Dover at approximately 7 pm.
Sleep overnight.
Swim at high tide in the morning, touch land approximately 13 hours later and transfer by boat to Calais.
Clear Customs
Overnight rest
Commence cycle ride to Paris in morning , arriving Paris late evening.
The challenge should be completed in a four day period if not delayed by the weather.
