Situated in a 65 acre private estate on the western side of the stunning New Forest, Hampshire, Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Centre provides the idyllic venue for the Enduroman UK Festival Of Ultra Triathlon 2012. The event has been designed so that all 7 distance races will finish on the same day; creating a unique atmosphere never to be forgotten.

Avon Tyrrell hosts a true triathlon course.  No closed roads, no 2km flat loops, no tarmac run, no hiding place.  This is the world of Enduroman......

Deca Enduroman UK:  1st - 10th June 2012 - 6.00am
Quintuple Enduroman UK: 6th - 10th June 2012 - 6.00am
Triple Enduroman UK: 8th June 2012 - 6.00am
Double Enduroman UK: 9th June 2012 - (IUTA World Cup Race) 
6.00am but could be delayed up to 09.00am

Enduroman 100 Ultra: 9th June 2012 - 2.00pm
1 x Enduroman:  10th June 2012 - 6.00am but could be delayed up to 09.00am
Half Enduroman UK: 10th June 2012 - 6.00am but could be delayed up to 09.00am

The delayed times will depend on number of participants.  A final decision on the start times will be made before 1st May 2012.

DISTANCES:
Enduroman UK: Swim 2.4 Miles, Bike 116 Miles, Run 26 Miles.
Double Enduroman UK: Swim 4.8 Miles, Bike 232 Miles & Run 52 Miles
Triple Enduroman UK: Swim 7.2 Miles, Bike 336 Miles & Run 78 Miles
Quintuple Enduroman UK: 5 x Enduroman in 5 Days
Deca Enduroman UK: 10 x Enduroman in 10 Days
Enduroman 100 Ultra:  100 Miles

LIMITS
Maximum of 50 athletes per distance (50 in total for Deca/Quin combined)

INTERNATIONAL ULTRA TRIATHLON ASSOCIATION LICENSE
The International Ultra Triathlon Association have sanction the Double Enduroman event at Avon Tyrrell, UK in 2012.  Athletes who have entered the Double Enduroman ONLY will be required to obtain a one-day IUTA license and have a medical examination with their doctor. 

Double Enduroman athletes need to apply for an IUTA license.  Download an application form by clicking on the image to the left, complete the form and bring it with you to race registration.  The cost of the license is £20.00 GBP, not 20 Euros as it states on the application form.  Payment in cash only.

Please note that it is only the Double Enduroman that is sanctioned, therefore athletes in the half, single, triple, Quin, Deca and 100 Enduroman races do not need a license or medical examination.  They will only be required to sign a disclaimer at race registration.

If you have entered the Double Enduroman before 17th January 2012, then Enduroman will pay your £20.00 IUTA license for you.  This decision was made because athletes who entered before this date where not aware of the IUTA sanctioning.

MEDICAL ISSUES:
All athletes will be required to sign a disclaimer at race registration.
Double Enduroman athletes will be requested to provide a blood sample for doping control. 

1 x Enduroman & Half Enduroman:
This standard 1 x Iron and half-iron distance event (50 athletes maximum), has been included in the Ultra Festival for the following reasons:

• To give athletes the opportunity to test the course / event out before making the move to ultra distance triathlon.

• To give athletes the opportunity to race an Iron/half distance triathlon and the chance to share their experience with world's most special ultra endurance community. 
  
  It is worthy of note for these athletes, that Enduroman have kept the same unique challenges that the run course at Lichfield offered:  Dark woods, tree roots that need navigating around, the need for head torches, tough / short climbs etc.  This is world of Enduroman, it is not the normal world of triathlon racing.

Enduroman 100 Ultra:
This event is a 100 mile ultra marathon around the same run course as the Ultra Triathlon races.  Athletes will run 97 laps of an exact 1.04 mile course around the Avon Tyrrell estate.  Athletes will have the unique opportunity to run a closed circuit 100 miler, be able to camp beside the course and be able to see their support crew on a regular basis.  This can either be 'something different' on the ultra marathon calendar, or a stepping stone into the Ultra Triathlon series.

CUT OFF TIMES: 
Half Enduroman:  Swim 1.5 hours, 8 hours, Total 10 Hours
1 x Enduroman: Swim 2.5 hours, 12.5 hours, Total 20 Hours.
Double Enduroman: Swim 3.5 hours.  Bike 24hrs.  Total time 43 hours
Triple Enduroman: Swim 6hrs.  Bike 40hrs.  Total time 66 hours

Deca / Quintuple Enduroman: 
Swim: 2.5 hours
Total: 22 hours for each Iron.
If athletes do not make the cut-off, they will automatically miss the following day's Enduroman.

REGISTRATION / RACE BRIEF: 
Registration and the Race Brief will be held at Avon Tyrrell the evening before each race respectively.  See Agenda (coming soon)

Enduroman parking can be accessed via Braggers Lane.  All spectators, athletes and support crews are to report to reception at Avon Tyrrell, inform them of your vehicle registration and pay in advanced for parking priced at £0.50 per 24 hours.  Avon Tyrrell are a registered charity...  please pay your way.

FOOD & ACCOMMODATION DURING COMPETITION:

There will be on-site caterers providing 3 meals per day within a the main house next to the race course from June 1st -10th.  Deca and Quintuple athletes will receive these meals / accommodation free as part of their race fees.  Other athletes, support crews and supports may purchase meals.  Accommodation is available in the main house. There are also opportunities to camp next to the race course, book lodges or use local hotels. (not included in race entry)

LAUNDRY FACILITIES:
Enduroman have secured access to laundry facilities on-site for the duration of the event.  This comprises of 2 washing (2 x £1 coins) and 1 drying (50p coins) machines which are both coin operated. The laundry opening times are:  9:00am to 10:00pm and MUST NOT be used outside these hours.  

Reception opening times:  08:30am - 5:00pm

BIKE MECHANIC:
 

	New Forest Cycles will be providing bike mechanic cover throughout the event.  This is located in the village of Burley, which is directly on the bike course around 2 miles from the race centre.
Athletes must show their race number to the mechanics who will repair minor faults.  Any bike components supplied by the mechanics must be paid for by the athletes after the completion of their respective events. New Forest Cycles is open 7 days per week during working hours only.

PRIZES:  Finishing t-shirts and medals to all competitors.

The awards ceremony will take place at 12:00 on Monday 11th June 2012.  Brunch will be served before hand.  More details coming soon....

For prize money to be paid there must be at least 10 starters in each Double, Triple, Quintuple & Deca category (male & female). The athlete must also be present at the awards ceremony.  If the athlete is not present then the prize money will not be paid.
