Charity Places for Deca and Quin Entries
UK Youth is a charity at the heart of
a national network of organisations dedicated to supporting young
people to realise their potential. Their focus is on developing and
promoting non-formal learning opportunities for all. Through
regional associations and local youth groups they reach 750,000
young people each year. The charity was founded in February
1911 and they celebrated their 100th birthday in style with a range
of high-profile events last year. You can take a look at our
Centenary Brochure
here.
Today their work makes a lasting impact by encouraging young people
to take responsibility and become involved citizens. It gives a
voice to people who are too rarely heard and builds skills that will
remain useful throughout their lives.
By working with a wide range of
public, private and voluntary sector partners they offer young
people the chance to:
-
take action to improve their communities
-
make recommendations about youth services
-
learn to support and educate others
-
experience the benefits of healthy activities
-
organise events including a major national youth conference
-
gain nationally recognised accreditation
